The revolutionary DataBridge5.8 Wireless Ethernet System is a long range, outdoor, license free system which quickly and easily facilitates wireless interconnectivity for 10/100 Base-T networks. The system connects to standard Ethernet interfaces and is a cost effective alternative to wireline/fiber connections. The Databridge5.8 can be deployed in applications requiring point-to-point or point-to-multipoint ranges of 10 miles or as short as several hundred feet.

The DataBridge5.8 can be configured to operate in either point-to-point or point-to-multipoint mode, ideal where groups of buildings are required to be interconnected with a LAN link or to the internet.

Each system consists of one Access Point (AP) and one or more Subscriber Unit (SU) transceivers. The AP is a wireless hub that connects to any 10/100Base-T Ethernet backbone via an RJ45 connector. The AP communicates with associated SUs through a secure method ensuring data integrity and privacy. Each AP and SU consists of a 10 Mbps, direct-sequence spread-spectrum wireless transceiver, antenna, mounting hardware, and power supply. The AP comes integrated with an 18 dBi patch antenna and each SU includes a 27 dBi dish antenna which allows for long range transmission.

The DataBridge5.8 is FCC approved and requires no path license.
