signal to a nearby receiver / annunciator upon detection of motion.
The Optex Wireless Sensor Annunciator System
gives users time to prepare for guests and
customers, as well as for unwelcome visitors. This
unique system is ideal for use in the home or
business, indoors or out, effectively providing
convenience and peace of mind.
How it works...
The sensor detects the body temperature of
approaching visitor / intruders and then in turn,
transmits radio frequency to the receiver(s) RC-2,
RS-2.
The receiver then sounds an audible warning to inform
the user that someone is in the area.
The "Wireless Sensor / Annunciator System"
from Optex provides versatile,
easy-to-install, maintenance free detection
for limitless applications. Besides the
added convenience, the W.S.S.
is an economical early warning device that
increases the users' awareness to their surroundings,
at both the home and the workplace.
RECEIVER RC-2
Three Zone Identification
When visitors enter through the front entrance,
back entrance, or service entrance, the
sensor detects them and then transmits signals
to the receiver installed inside. The receiver
then emits one of three different types of
tones to inform the user of the arrival and location
of a visitor

Perimeter Awareness
Choose either "Chime Mode" or "Alert Mode"
according to your preference and/or needs.
Chime Mode:
Use for 24 hour annuciation of arriving guests,
customers, and visitors (expected and
unexpected). When selected, the system is
on constant guard, greatly increasing the user's
awareness to their surroundings by reporting
audibly and visually, the event and location of
visitors.
Alert Mode:
Use as a local warning device, to alert user
and/or trespasser of detected presence. The
Alert Mode activates sirens, bells, buzzers,
lights, etc. The Alert Mode function also features
an Entry/Exit Delay Timer, giving the user
time to enter and exit before activation. Event and
location are audibly and visually (zone LED)
reported.
Reliable Indoor and Outdoor Detection Flexibility
The Sensor / Transmitter incorporates passive infrared
(P.I.R.) sensing technology
to detect infrared energy emitted by a human body,
automobile, etc. When the
sensor "sees" movement, it instantly transmits radio
signals to the receiver.

Installs outdoors at entrances, on gateposts, exterior

detection area coverage is desired.

wherever indoor detection coverage

Entry and Exit Delay Timer
A delay timer has been incorporated into the RS-2
to avoid accidentally triggering
the "Alert Mode" function when leaving and returning
home. After setting the
receiver to "Alert Mode", the timer allows you up
to 60 seconds to leave your
home without activating the system. Upon returning
to your home, the timer allows
you 30 seconds to deactivate the system.
Built-In Relay Output
The RS-2 features output terminals on the
reverse side for connection toa siren, light, etc. When activated, the
siren (or other devices) serve to scare off intruders, as well as to alert
you and your neighbors to the intrusion. You can set the timer to activate
the relay from anywhere. The timer is adjustable in steps of 3 sec., 1
min., 2 min., 3 min., 4 min., and 5 min.
Relay output (Capacity: DC24V, AC50V, 500mA). Relay
operates when unit is in "ALERT" mode only. Auxiliary power output. This
output supplied (DC12V, 500mA) in both "ALERT" mode and in "CHIME" mode.
